Engaging Young People With Creative Experiences

Everyday we work with young people across a variety of creative activities, and we see the real positive impact that engagement with theatre and the arts has on their lives.

From our Curve Young Community Company (CYCC) groups, to educational workshops and resources, as well as our work across key areas of Leicester city through our Neighbour-Hubs scheme, we’re dedicated to improving the lives of local young people.

Curve Young Community Company

From Musical Theatre, to Drama, Dance, Technical Theatre and creative sessions for kids, our CYCC groups give young people aged 5 – 19 a way to learn new skills, make friends, perform on stage, have fun and more.

Education

Our brilliant Creative Programmes team bring theatre to life for young people, with tailored workshops, learning resources and insights into careers in the arts.

Curve Neighbour-Hubs

Following the impact of the pandemic and lockdowns on our city, we launched Curve Neighbour-Hubs in 2021.

We work in five key areas in Leicester to encourage and support participants to be the theatre-makers, audience members and creative workforce of the future.

Throughout the year our Creative Programme for schools, colleges, universities and community groups engages over 15,000 young people of all ages and abilities.

Over the last year we engaged more than 350 schools through shows, workshops and activities, and each week over 500 young people participate in workshops in our theatre and in local community groups.
