FANTASTIC FOXES
The remarkable rise of Leicester City Football Club

We are looking for participants to take part in this year’s Curve Community Show, FANTASTIC FOXES.  

This is a community voluntary activity not a professional performance opportunity.  

FANTASTIC FOXES tells the story of the remarkable rise of Leicester City Football Club, from a garden shed on Fosse Road to the unforgettable Premier League victory in 2016.  

We would like you to be a part of this exciting story of our city. No previous experience is required, just an enthusiasm for performing and an interest in meeting new people and having lots of fun.  

Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate and work alongside Curve’s Professional Production team, learn new skills, make friends and perform on stage in Curve’s 314 seat Studio theatre. 

The production will play from 26 July to the 3 August 2024, and applicants must be available for all of these dates.  

Rehearsals will take place weekly largely on Saturday’s and Wednesday evenings from the 11th May. Whilst we understand you may not be able to attend every session, we ask you only apply if you are able to attend the majority of these dates. There is more information available in the schedule table below.  

WORKSHOP CASTING Dates:   

Saturday 6th April – 10am – 12pm  

Saturday 6th April – 1pm to 3pm 

Wednesday 10th April – 7pm -9pm

This is a community activity not a professional performance opportunity. 

The workshop casting will be a chance for you to get a taste of what the rehearsal process will be like. They will be conducted in groups and involve collaborative games and exercises. You will not be asked to perform on your own.  

This is a free to attend opportunity. You do not need any previous experience to apply. Applicants must be over 18 years of age on the date of the application to take part. 

We welcome submissions from all members of the community, in particular those underrepresented on our stages, including migrant actors and those who speak English as an additional language, Deaf and disabled participants and transgender artists. 

Schedule  

Participants must be available for all of the highlighted dates. Whilst we understand you may not be able to attend every rehearsal session please only apply if you are available for the majority of the dates below. 

*Times to be confirmed during rehearsals. For Technical rehearsals these will be approx. 1.30pm-10pm. For Evening performance days this will be approx. from 6pm – 10pm for Evening sessions and on Matinee/Evening performance days these will be approx.12pm -10pm.
