An Indian Summer will be an exciting weekend of contemporary South Asian arts, celebrating the fusion of creativity across South Asia and the UK. Our vibrant festival programme includes live music, theatre, comedy, exhibitions, workshops, talks and film screenings. An Indian Summer - The Orchestral Qawwali Project

The genre-defying Orchestral Qawwali Project will bring Sufi music to Leicester in August for a special, one off and intimate showing as part of AN INDIAN SUMMER festival.

Widely regarded as the biggest step forward for the art-form in decades, the Orchestral Qawwali Project has captivated audiences through its unique combination of Sufi poetry, Indian Classical dance and orchestral arrangements. Written and directed by composer, Rushil, the Project features the soaring vocals of Abi Sampain effortless combination with rich orchestral arrangements. Mesmerising and goosebump-inducing, this will be a spellbinding evening, and the grand finale of AN INDIAN SUMMER 2024.
