Return to The Mountaintop this September

After making his history-altering “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr retires to Room 306 of Lorraine Motel.

As he reflects on another day spent with Memphis’ public servants in their fight for equality and fair pay, room service arrives in the form of Camae – a sweet motel maid with some big, unexpected news.

Written by multi award-winning playwright Katori Hall (TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL), THE MOUNTAINTOP returns to our Studio Theatre following the success of last year’s Made at Curve staged reading.

The Lion Inside

‘No matter your size, we all have a mouse and a lion inside.’

A bestselling story about confidence, self-esteem, and a shy little mouse who sets out on a journey to find his roar. In a dry dusty place where the sand sparkled gold, stood a mighty flat rock, all craggy and old. And under that rock in a tinyful house, lived the littlest, quietest, meekest brown mouse.

Fed up of being ignored and forgotten by the other animals, Mouse wishes he could roar like Lion. But, as he discovers, even the biggest, bossiest people are scared sometimes … and even the smallest creatures can have the heart of a lion!

Based on the bestselling story by Rachel Bright & Jim Field, this brand-new adaptation for the stage is directed by Sarah Punshon (The Jungle Book), with music and lyrics by Eamonn O’Dwyer (Brief Encounter).

Age Guidance: 3+, but all ages are welcome
