Curve and the Randal Foundation launch ambitious new programme to support young people's mental health and wellbeing
Curve and the Randal Foundation have officially launched Shine – a groundbreaking three year programme which aims to support positive mental health and wellbeing amongst young people using drama-based activities.
The programme is delivered by teachers, drama practitioners, therapists at Sunrise Wellbeing and its impact will be evaluated by researchers at De Montfort University.
Shine is supported by Patrons Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters, actors and founders of Matriarch Productions.

The second year of our new scheme which aims to make Leicester Comedy Festival more inclusive for comedians and audiences. We’ve selected 6 incredible comedians, and you can get a sample of their own shows – all part of the festival in various venues and dates.
Hosted by Eshaan Akbar, come and have a laugh with Alice India, Salma Lyons, Lawrence Dodd, Kate Hammer, Verity Sharpe and Maxine Wade.

CQ Earlies
On the second Saturday of each month, we host CQ Earlies – fun, free, and creative sessions for children and families.
This month, let’s get our vocal chords going with an introduction to voice with Mary Bonam. Join Mary to discover your inner voice, how to use it to create characters and also make beautiful music with it.
The workshop will culminate in creating a group vocal orchestra!

Learn with top artists in Curve Classroom
Since January, we’re proud to have supported home-schooling during the third national lockdown with our educational initiative, Curve Classroom.
The free sessions cover a range of topics for all ages and are delivered by a host of leading artists including performers Molly Lynch, Garry Robson and Hareet Deol, Designers Grace Smart and Kate Unwin, Director Julia Thomas, Choreographers Arlene Phillips and Mel Knott, Writers Jess Green and Rob Ward, as well as a number of Midlands-based artists local to Curve in Leicester.
