Watch a special reading of Ivor Cutler's Meal One

A boy sleeps in his bed. The house around him creaks. An owl hoots. The sky brightens and the boy stirs. He suddenly sits up all surprised and calls out:

“Who put a plum in my mouth?”
“Me, me, me!” shouts Mum.
And that is how it begins.

Enjoy a bedtime story with Chris Hannon as he reads the picture book of Ivor Cutler's Meal One, illustrated by Helen Oxenbury. The stage adaptation of this extraordinary adventure tale comes to Curve from Tue 8 - Wed 9 Feb as part of The Spark Festival 2022, and all performances will be relaxed.
