Centre for Indian Classical Dance Workshop

Join Curve Resident Creatives the Centre for Indian Classical Dance (CICD) for these introductory Kathak workshops as part of our Diwali Community Day.

Derived from the word Katha, meaning ‘story’, Kathak dance is a form of storytelling through intricate hand movements, rhythmic footwork and facial expression. In these fun and relaxed workshops you’ll learn the basic movements of the form, alongside body mime and Bollywood dance to tell your own story.

Before the workshops, the company from CICD will also give you a taster in a series of performance pieces in our Studio between 11.30am – 12noon.
