Synopsis
The Party Somewhere Else is a Nottingham-based collective of maverick creatives who happen to be women. Through showcasing work made and led by women and non-binary people, The Party Somewhere Else champions female-led projects and gives everyone a great night out.
We throw parties for ALL, and The Party Somewhere Else Open House events are our time to throw wide the doors and ask YOU to join the conversation. Following from some great Open House events earlier this year in Nottingham and Derby – and still reeling from a hugely successful week-long festival at Nottingham Playhouse – we are delighted to be hosting our own feminist takeover at Curve, which includes four incredible artists who will be sharing their work.
Meet, mingle, listen, talk, laugh, and cry if you want to, while we wrestle with some key questions about what is important in getting diverse female stories on stage, how we can collectively support the voices that want to be heard, tell the stories that need to be told, and reach the audiences who are ready to listen.
Open to people of all genders all who wish to support female and non-binary voices being heard in the arts, and who are passionate about experiencing a diverse spectrum of female experience in the arts – performers, creatives, and potential audience members.
