Connecting Cultures: A Moving Together Showcase

Come and experience Moving Together’s TMET Dance Festival 2023, showcasing Primary and Secondary school groups from across The Mead Educational Trust who will present their explorations into this year’s theme of Culture.

Moving Together is a creative community dance company based in Leicester, providing dance and development opportunities for children, young people, aspiring practitioners and adults over the age of 55 within Leicestershire and the surrounding counties. With thanks to Arts Council England funding, Moving Together has facilitated a trust-wide dance programme for TMET schools this academic year.

The programme consisted of development opportunities for school staff in the realm of dance education and creative choreography, the opportunity for 1 year group per school to gain a recognised Arts Award qualification, and for a dance troupe of pupils to create and perform a routine at Curve Theatre in the Connecting Cultures showcase.
