This is an opportunity to develop skills and experience in devising and performing with different kinds of puppets. It is aimed at arts-based practitioners who are curious about the power and potency of puppets to engage an audience, and are prepared to play and be provoked!
The six-week pilot project will be hosted and lead by local puppet maker and director, Sue Pyecroft, who is also a member of Bamboozle Theatre – an associate company at Curve.
As one of Bamboozle’s founder members, Sue has spent over 20 years developing ways to connect with young people on the autistic spectrum, and those with profound and multiple learning difficulties through puppetry.
No puppetry experience is necessary – just a keen interest to explore ideas through this medium!
