Synopsis
Two Stars, One Fabulous Friendship.
Step into a world of laughter, music and showbiz charm with NOËL & GERTIE – a true celebration of lifelong friendship.
This charming and witty production explores the professional collaboration and personal chemistry between playwright Noël Coward and actress Gertrude Lawrence – two best friends who lit up the stage. Transport yourself back to the glamourous golden age of British theatre for an entertaining evening with toe-tapping songs and playful banter.
NOËL & GERTIE is directed by Thom Southerland (TITANIC THE MUSICAL, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, THE ILLUSIONIST) and features over 20 songs from Noël Coward’s works, including Don’t put your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs Worthington and If Love Were All.
Starring Gary Tushaw (LES MISÉRABLES) as Noël Coward and Rebecca Trehearn (INDIGO), as Gertrude Lawrence, they are joined on stage by two wonderful performers, Joey Hickman (THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON) and Michaela Murphy (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), who bring the world of Noël and Gertie to life with musicality and style.
