Curve Young Dance Company Presents

Since September 2018, our Curve Young Dance Company (CYC Dance) have performed in Leicester’s Diwali celebrations, Leicester Cathedral, the Leicestershire Youth Dance Platform, Mass Movement 2019, and in the ReVive Festival in partnership with Soft Touch Arts.

At this event they will bring together all of their pieces in our Studio, to share with audiences at Curve. CYC Dance will be joined by our friends, SideKick Dance, with whom they have had the pleasure to work alongside this year.

Our Curve Young Dance Company is made up of around 40 young people each year, aged 12 – 19 yrs and who meet weekly at Curve. We use contemporary dance as our foundation to develop technique, choreography and expressive skills. Our ethos is to make work for performance using a collaborative process, so that the voice of the young people is embedded within our artistic responses. We enjoy making work for a range of performance events at Curve and around the city and county.
