Following a highly acclaimed 2018 tour, award-winning British playwright, dramatist and screenwriter Alan Bennett presents The Habit of Art at Curve from Mon 6 – Sat 11 Apr. Exploring friendship, rivalry and heartache, the play is about a fictional meeting between two of the 20th century’s most remarkable artists, poet W.H. Auden and composer Benjamin Britten.

DMU Pride is now underway, offering an exciting programme of theatre performances events curated by De Montfort University students to celebrate LGBT History Month.
As part of the festival, we have commissioned a new play by Rob Ward (Gypsy Queen), a love story between two boxers. This time, Rob returns to the festival with his new play The MP, Aunty Mandy and Me – a provocative story of coercion, politics, power and manipulation.
Here he explains more about his inspiration behind the play, and playing multiple roles in this bittersweet and darkly comic solo show about political campaigns, coercive abuse and steam trains.
We're excited to announce the title of our magical 2020 Made at Curve Christmas musical - The Wizard of Oz!
Running 28 Nov 2020 to 16 Jan 2021, our Artistic Director Nikolai Foster (West Side Story, White Christmas, Scrooge the Musical) will direct this regional premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's production based on the classic 1939 MGM film.
