Do you need some one-to-one advice or consultation on a show or project you’re developing? Book a 30 minute artists surgery with Jen Sullivan or Aoife O’Connor from our artist development partner In Good Company, independent producer Emily Coleman or director and dramaturg Beth Shouler. These surgeries will take place on the Mezzanine at Curve.

Not sure which day to book?
Thursday and Friday surgeries with In Good Company’s Jen and Aoife
Recommended for general consultations about developing new work.

In Good Company is the flagship professional creative and business development programme for theatre makers and companies in the Midlands, providing mentorship, business support, resources and high-profile performance opportunities.

Saturday surgeries with Emily
Recommended for producers and discussions about producing.

Emily is an independent producer and theatre maker with over 12 years creating theatre productions, site specific and digital interactive performances. She’s produced work in theatres, festival fields, village fetes, car parks, the woods, in a cultural building in Macau, a shopping centre in Germany and the British Library foyer, amongst others. She works for Spymonkey and In Good Company.

Sunday surgeries with Beth
Recommended for artists looking for dramaturgical support. Please send a script or script extract a week in advance to [email protected] if you are booking a Sunday surgery.

Beth is a director, dramaturg and producer who specialises in developing new work and especially new writing. She was the New Work Associate and Head of Creative Programmes at Curve. She has worked for Nottingham Playhouse, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Kiln Theatre and the Almeida amongst others to develop new work.

Each surgery slot lasts 30 minutes.
