New Work Festival:
Creating a Theatre
Company Workshop

Description

Share:

Are you thinking about setting up a theatre company? Got the spark but not sure where to start?

Find out how the multi award-winning makers of Burnt Lemon Theatre found their fire. As Curve Resident Creatives, they are the best of the zest when it comes to artistic and practical advice on how to create your own theatre company!

This day-long interactive workshop is for students and early-career creatives (although any artist is welcome) considering or in the process of setting up a theatre company. Burnt Lemon will share their story, pose questions and exercises, and impart some insights and knowledge from what they’ve learned along the way.

From riotous gig-theatre to electrifying musicals, Burnt Lemon are a female-led company who tackle sensitive stories with tenderness, punch and precision. Cara and Hannah first formed the company back in 2018 and have since worked with kick-ass collaborators to create award winning shows that have toured the U.K.

This workshop will run from 11am – 5pm, including a lunchbreak.
