This workshop is led by one of the industry’s leading Fight and Intimacy Directors, Haruka Kuroda.

You will discover about her role, what her process is and how she keeps actors, creatives and stage management safe in the rehearsal room and during the run.

Haruka Kuroda:

Haruka is a U.K. based Japanese multidisciplinary artist.

Since graduating Guildford School of Acting in 2000, Haruka has built a successful career as an actor in Theatre, TV & Film. She is also an established Voice-Over Artist. Haruka completed the Intimacy Coordination Mentoring Scheme for under-represented groups in 2021. The program was run by Moving Body Arts, a SAG/AFTRA certified training company. Haruka is also a British Academy of Dramatic Combat certified senior instructor and fight director.

She is the first and currently still is the only East Asian Fight Director and Intimacy Professional in the U.K.
