Join Midlands-based director and facilitator Kitty Benford for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of collaborative theatre-making.
In this practical session, participants will work together to create a short performance piece from scratch. Through playful exercises in improvisation, storytelling, and ensemble-building, you’ll explore how ideas can be generated quickly and shaped collectively — learning how to balance multiple creative voices while building a supportive, collaborative rehearsal room.
The workshop is ideal for emerging directors, community artists, youth theatre leaders, and educators who want to strengthen their skills in co-creation and facilitation. You’ll leave with practical tools for leading collaborative projects, structuring creative sessions, and developing material with groups in schools, community settings, or professional contexts.
Whether you’re looking to develop your facilitation skills, spark new creative ideas, or connect with other artists, this workshop offers a supportive space to experiment, collaborate, and create.
