Marcus Joseph
Marcus Joseph is a Leicester-born alto saxophonist, composer, spoken word artist, and cultural luminary. Blending jazz, hip hop and Caribbean influences, his music carries both groove and message, weaving storytelling with improvisation. A Jazz Refreshed alumnus with airplay on Jazz FM and BBC Radio 3, Marcus has performed internationally and at home on stages from SXSW to Ronnie Scott’s. Deeply rooted in his Afro-Caribbean heritage and Leicester community, he uses his art to uplift, inspire, and make jazz accessible to all.
Djoe Tomakloe

Imani Ahiro Wenham
Imani Ahiro Wenham returns to the Curve stage with a powerful new set of poetry for Black History Month. This performance is a bold and moving tribute to Black British voices — past, present, and future. Blending personal storytelling with historical reflection, Imani explores themes of identity, resistance, legacy, and love. From intimate expressions of self to powerful tributes. this set is both deeply personal and politically resonant — a celebration of freedom, memory, and the enduring beauty of Blackness.
