Following the sell-out success of previous production of Oliver! and West Side Story, Curve’s professional production team will again join a group of hugely talented young local performers to bring to life the legend of Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet Street.

Sondheim’s brooding musical thriller is filled with humour, wit and scary delights. It also boasts a magnificent score. From its first UK performance in London in 1980 to the stunning 2007 screen adaptation by Tim Burton, this tale of obsession and vengeance has enraptured audiences.

Set in Victorian London, the musical depicts Sweeney Todd’s murderous quest for justice and retribution aided and abetted by the outrageous ideas of the pie-shop owner, Miss Lovett. Directed by Paul Kerryson.
