PART OF INSIDE OUT FESTIVAL 2017

—–

“She loves him. Isn’t that what parents do? But is it still possible to love someone like that?”

A woman waits for her son to come home from his night out. Then the police arrive. And everything changes. Mine is a tense new play by writer Doug Deans and performed by actress Maisie Barlow, examining what a parent must overcome when their child is arrested for something truly unspeakable.

Putting these parents in centre stage, Mine is a play simply about shame, courage, guilt and good parenting.

Debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016, Midlands theatre company Put the Book Down received critical acclaim for this show, which was featured in The Scotsman’s ‘Top Rated Shows at the Edinburgh Festivals’.
