Jesus Christ Superstar will mark Leicester Amateur Operatic Society’s fifth visit to Curve following the sell-out The Full Monty and last year’s production of The Wedding Singer.

Originally written as a concept album, Jesus Christ Superstar exploded onto the Broadway stage in 1971. It received five Tony Award nominations and won Andrew Lloyd Webberthe prestigious Drama Desk Award for Most Promising Composer, marking the beginning of his illustrious career.

Jesus Christ Superstar is the seminal ‘rock-opera’ and depicts the story of the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.

Containing a varied score of hit songs such as I Don’t Know How to Love Him, Heaven on Their Minds and the title song Superstar.
