Sent to learn Bharatanatyam to improve his health, ‘really, really, really fat kid’ Shane Shambhu reveals how he lived his secret life of learning and loving temple dancing from his school friends from the age of eight.
Telling his story of growing up in East London with a large southern Indian family and exploring identity, culture and race, Shane presents a blend of bedazzling dance and laugh-out loud comedy as he recalls his transformation from unlikely dance student and “rude” boy to international performer.
