Fri 7 Sep 2018

Go behind-the-scenes of our world premiere, Made at Curve drama Memoirs of an Asian Football Casual, in our new documentary!

In this short film, Author Riaz Khan meets actors Jay Varsani (playing Riaz) and Hareet Deol (playing Suf, Riaz’s brother) for the very first time, before delving back into the show’s history with Playwright Dougal Irvine and Director Nikolai Foster.

Watch as the group visit the Baby Squad‘s favourite locations across the city – including the Clock Tower, Narborough Road and the former Filbert Street stadium – discussing 1980s Leicester, and the city’s historic football culture along the way.

The group are also joined by Leicester City Football Club Historian John Hutchinson, who compares the behaviour of football fans in the past, to those in the present.

Memoirs of an Asian Football Casual runs from 26 Sep – 6 Oct in our Studio. Don’t forget to join the conversation using #CurveMemoirs.
