Leicester’s Curve has received more nominations than ever at this year’s WhatsOnStage Awards – and your votes can help the theatre win!

The theatre’s Made at Curve productions of A Chorus Line, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Billy Elliot the Musical are nominated for a total of five awards. A Chorus Line, Curve’s 2021 Christmas musical, is up for Best Choreography (Ellen Kane), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, is shortlisted for Best Musical Direction or Supervision (Sarah Travis, Steve Sidwell and the company) and Curve’s smash-hit summer production of Billy Elliot the Musical received three nominations – Best Direction (Nikolai Foster), Best Regional Production and Best Musical Revival.

The WhatsOnStage Awards are the only major theatre awards nominated and voted for by the public. Voting is now open until Tuesday 10 January 2023 and audiences can choose their winners by visiting awards.whatsonstage.com

The winners of the 23rd WhatsOnStage Awards will be announced on Sunday 12 February 2023 at a ceremony held at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

This Christmas audiences can enjoy the Made at Curve production of The Wizard of Oz, now running until Sunday 8 January 2023. Directed by Nikolai Foster and featuring rising star Georgina Onuorah as Dorothy, the musical includes additional music and songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, alongside iconic originals from the MGM film.
