Extra week announced for Curve's Hello, Dolly!
Curve are delighted to announce that their production of Hello, Dolly! has been extended by an extra week, and will now run until 19 January 2013.
The production has proved a huge success, receiving great reviews from the press and public alike.
Curve Chief Executive, Fiona Allan said:
“Hello, Dolly! really does have something for everyone – from wonderful show-stopping numbers, to the many much-loved songs. It also has some great comedy moments and some fine acting. By adding this extra week, we hope that as many people as possible will be encouraged to come and see for themselves what makes Curve musicals so popular.”
Hello, Dolly!stars award-winning actress, Janie Dee, and a host of critically acclaimed West End stars including Michael Xavier, Dale Rapley and Laura Pitt-Pulford. The creative team includes Curve Artistic Director, Paul Kerryson,choreography by David Needham, designs by Sara Perks and musical direction by Ben Atkinson.
Hello, Dolly!tells the story of Dolly Levi – a glamorous, wise cracking woman with a big heart. She is also a professional matchmaker focussed on bringing love to the great and good of Manhattan. However, she soon realises that one of the suitors brings more than a little sparkle to her own eye too… with hilarious consequences!
Boasting a dazzling score which has inspired great artists such as Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra, this bold and brassy musical is full of fantastic numbers including Put on Your Sunday Clothes, Before the Parade Passes By, and of course the show-stopping title number, Hello, Dolly!
The extra week will include evening performances from Tuesday 15th– Saturday 19thJanuary at 7.30pm. There will also be matinee performances on Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th and Saturday 19thJanuary at 2.15pm. For full listings information please visit www.curveonline.co.uk
