Curve's production of The Wizard of Oz to play the iconic London Palladium next summer
It has today been announced that Curve’s hit production of The Wizard of Oz will play a limited season at the world-famous London Palladium next summer.
The Made at Curve production of the beloved musical is currently running at Leicester’s Curve theatre until Sunday 8 January 2023. Directed by the theatre’s Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, performances at the London Palladium will begin on Friday 23 June next year.
Casting for The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium will be announced in due course.
The Wizard of Oz has choreography by Shay Barclay, Set Designer is Colin Richmond, Projection Designer is Douglas O’Connell, Costume and Puppet Designer is Rachael Canning, Lighting Designer is Ben Cracknell, Sound Designer is Adam Fisher, Musical Director and Musical Supervisor is George Dyer, Magic Consultant is Scott Penrose, Casting Director is Kay Magson CDG, Props Supervisor is Marcus Hall Props, Costume Supervisor is Anna Josephs and Wigs, Hair and Makeup Designer is Elizabeth Marini.
Speaking about the news, Curve’s Chief Executive Chris Stafford and Artistic Director Nikolai Foster said:

We could never have imagined the yellow brick road would lead us all the way to the Palladium when we first embarked on this exhilarating journey with Dorothy and L. Frank Baum’s iconic characters.

Join Dorothy and Toto as they are swept up from sepia-soaked Kansas and transported over the rainbow to the technicolour wonderland of Oz.
On her adventure down the Yellow Brick Road Dorothy meets new friends Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion who help her on her way, but the villainous and frightfully glamourous Wicked Witch has other plans for Dorothy, and in Oz – nothing is quite as it seems.
Through the deep Dark Forest to the bright neon lights of Emerald City, Dorothy and her friends search for the powerful and mysterious Wizard of Oz, the only person who can grant their hearts desires, and maybe even a way home.
