Description
Join Director and Dramaturg Andy Routledge for ‘Talking to the Audience’ – a workshop exploring the bold, playful, and intimate possibilities of looking audiences in the eye.
We’ll explore the unique relationship between performer and audience, covering approaches to autobiographical storytelling, character-driven monologues, and the rich territory where the two overlap. You’ll develop practical tools for enhancing the performer-audience relationship and creative ways these can be adapted to suit your story.
This practical workshop is for theatre-makers, storytellers, performers, directors and writers who want to explore breaking the fourth wall and deepen their understanding and confidence directly addressing audiences.
