As part of Curve’s partnership with De Montfort University we have provided 10 DMU students with the unique opportunity to programme a series of productions and events at Curve to celebrate #DMUpride and LGBT History Month in Feb 2018.
Over a period of 4 months, the students have been embedded within Curve as an integral part of the theatre’s structure. During this time they have programmed a week of exciting and engaging work.

The story of ‘Gorgeous’ George O’Connell, bare-knuckle fighter and traveller, who enters the world of professional boxing which puts him on a collision course with his roots, his identity and his greatest fear.
In the opposite corner, gay boxer Dane ‘The Pain’ Samson, the young pretender and son of a boxing legend, is fighting his own battles that lead to a tragedy that neither could predict.
