Yes You Can: Young Creatives Showcase

Yes You Can includes performances by young people attending the Young Creatives summer arts workshops on performing arts and music hosted by Kainé, as well as highlights from all of Kainé’s Yes You Can programme in secondary schools.

There will also be a presentation of the findings of the Black Lives Matter Leicester Peer Research, undertaken by 16-18 year olds of Black heritage, which focusses on the experience of young Black people in Leicester in relation to the Black Lives Matter movement, and asks what changes they would like to see in their city.

Presentations and awards will also be made to young people who have excelled in any of the aspects of this year’s Yes You Can programme, covering the personal development sessions in schools, the research project and the arts workshops. Leicester’s young Black people are the stars!
