A Curve Co-Production

Xenos

Synopsis

Share:

Following the huge success of Until the Lions, award-winning choreographer, dancer and Curve Associate Artist Akram Khan returns with his brand new production, XENOS.

Marking his final performances as a dancer in a full-length piece, Akram Khan takes to the stage alongside five world-class musicians.

The title XENOS means ‘stranger’ or ‘foreigner’. In this new solo work, Akram and his stellar team of collaborators draw on the archives of the 20th century, unearthing the experience of colonial soldiers in the First World War. XENOS takes place where humanity stands in wonder and disarray, on the border between East and West, past and present, mythology and technology.
