Synopsis
National Youth Music Theatre presents this classic 1966 musical with book by Neil Simon, music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Dorothy Fields.
Widely known and loved in Bob Fosse’s electrifying film adaptation starring Shirley MacLaine, Sweet Charity is a tender and comical look at the adventures and misadventures in the ways of love, encountered by the gullible and guileless Charity Hope Valentine, who always gives her heart and her dreams to the wrong man.
Wonderful songs, matched with pulsating choreography, include Big Spender, If My Friends Could See Me Now, Too Many Tomorrows, The Rhythm of Life and There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This.
Founded in 1976, the award-winning National Youth Music Theatre represents the very best work with young people in musical theatre.
