‘Enron Online will change the market. It’s real simple, if you want to do business, you push the button. We’re trying to change the world.’

After serving 12 years of a 24 year sentence, former Enron CEO Jeff Skilling was released from prison in February this year. His crimes? Fraud, conspiracy and insider trading that collapsed ‘America’s most innovative company’.

Written by award-winning British playwright Lucy Prebble (The Sugar Syndrome, The Effect, Secret Diary of a Call Girl), Enron explores the financial fake news of its time and the notorious rise and fall of the 5th placed Fortune 500 company.

Mixing classic tragedy with savage comedy and surreal metaphors (including the Three Blind Mice), Enron follows a group of flawed businessmen and women from one outrageous idea to another. Their actions and reactions causing scandal, chaos and their own spectacular downfall – all played out for the audience on stage.

Enron is a Made at Curve and De Montfort University co-production performed by a talented company of drama and performing arts students from the university.
