Want to take the next step of becoming an author, a journalist, a screenwriter or a slam poet? Or want to collaborate with different artists and produce some exciting work?

Step in to the world of creative writing with our Curve Young Writers Group, run by Writing East Midlands, and led by professional writers who will help broaden your creative outlook and help explore different techniques to push your writing to it’s full potential.

Curve Young Writers meets fortnightly on a Tuesday evening, 6pm – 8pm, for writers aged 14 -17 years old.

About the lead writer
The group is led by Jamaican-born poet, spoken word writer and performer dtp, who came to England as a children immigrant. Trauma, trials and tribulations, along with the culture shock, planted a creative seed which became a bespoke identity for dtp. This identity would grow into a vulnerable and piercing spoken word writer and performer.
