Having made their UK debut at Let’s Dance International Frontiers in 2017, award-winning Philadelphia Dance Company (PHILADANCO) return and celebrate their 50th anniversary.
Led by Joan Myers Brown, PHILADANCO is celebrated for its innovation, creativity, and preservation of predominantly African American traditions in dance. From contemporary ballet to modern genres, experience a range of dance techniques that most companies don’t attempt to possess.
Featuring psychologically driven, When Dawn Comes by choreographer Christopher Huggins, an exploration into the ideas of spirituality and sorrow from Tommie-Waheed Evans in With(in) Verse and Gene Hill Sagan’s La Valse, PHILANDANCO also pays homage to the rich history of Black Dance in Anthony Burrell’s Conglomerate, inspired by his own journey.
