The Dreadful Dance
of Ms Iniquity

Synopsis

Share:

Who will ask, who will call?

A solo performance, using word, sound, music, physical theatre and still digital visuals to create a liminal space in which to explore a little-known, real single act of egregious immensity. Enacted on stage by a fictional Black British woman, Ms Iniquity, on behalf of powerful interests, whose terrible betrayal of her African ancestors continues a toxic legacy. Interlocutors include: the Black Voice of Rage, the Prosecutor, Witness, and Rescuer.

Dare to Diva Company, and lead artist Carol Leeming MBE, are absolutely thrilled to be taking part in the New Works Festival 2022 at Curve.

Age Recommendation: 14+ contains strong language and images of African Slavery.
