The boys are back!
Join us on the mean streets of 80s Leicester as we kick off the New Year with a revival of our award-winning 2018 Made at Curve production, Memoirs of an Asian Football Casual.
Now a De Montfort University lecturer, this city-based drama tells the coming-of-age story of former football hooligan Riaz Khan and his experiences at the heart of Leicester City’s infamous firm, the Baby Squad.
Adapted for the stage by Curve Associate Dougal Irvine and directed by Nikolai Foster, our 533-seat, in-the-round auditorium will bring a stadium feel to the production, immersing audiences into the action both in and out of Filbert Street. Join Riaz and his brother, Suf, as they discover the true price of belonging to a subculture of violence.
This play captures the spirit and resilience of our great city. Don’t miss your second chance to catch this gritty, colourful and lively production, ‘Cause we’re Leicester. We’re all Leicester!’
WINNER – Best Stage Production, Asian Media Awards 2019
