Curve and the producers of the first new production in 25 years of Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey’s iconic musical GREASE are delighted to announce that Dan Partridge will be reprising the role of Danny, having played the role on the UK and Ireland tour in 2019. Georgia Louise will play Sandy, with Paul French as Kenickie and Tendai Rinomhota as Rizzo. They are joined by Alex Christian as Doody, Josh Barnett as Roger, Inez Budd as Marty, Maeve Byrne as Jan, Marianna Neofitou as Frenchy, Corinna Powlesland as Miss Lynch and Cristian Zaccarini as Sonny.
Jonathan Ashworth MP visited Leicester’s Curve theatre on Friday 21 May as audiences return to the building for the first time since March 2020.
A brand new production of The Cher Show will open next year, with book by Tony and Olivier Award-winning Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, The Addams Family, Peter and the Starcatcher), direction by Arlene Phillips (Saturday Night Fever, Starlight Express, Grease), choreography by Oti Mabuse (two-time Strictly Come Dancing champion) and costume design by Gabriella Slade (Six, In The Heights, Spice World 2019 Tour). The tour will open at Leicester’s Curve on 15 April 2022 and will continue through to 1 April 2023.
Part of our socially distanced reopening season, AmDram: A Musical Comedy (27 - 29 May) is written by musical theatre writing duo and childhood friends Alex Parker and Katie Lam. In this blog Katie tells the story of how AmDram was created and what the show has in store for audiences.

Leicester’s Curve theatre has today announced the full cast and production team for its Made at Curve production of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, a celebratory reopening concert featuring the songs that made the musicals and memories from the extraordinary life and career of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The sensational feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! will come to Curve for a two week run from Tuesday 13 to Saturday 24 September 2022 as part of a UK & International Tour celebrating 22 years since MAMMA MIA! premiered in London in April 1999. Tickets will be on sale from Thursday 13 May, with general on sale Thursday 20 May.
