Workshops and Classes

There’s more to Curve than just great shows. We also offer a range of workshops, activities and backstage tours available for all ages and abilities. From weekly classes to special one off opportunities, there’s something for everyone.

Young People and Families

Curve Junior Choir

Mondays, 5pm - 6pm

Curve Junior Choir is our singing workshop for juniors and early teens, taking place on Monday evenings.

Learn vocal techniques, how to sing harmonies, songwriting, performance skills and, in doing so, having a lot of fun!

£4 per session
Led by Kainé Tutors
Recommended for ages 7+

Little Movers

Tuesdays, 10.15am — 11.15am

Little Movers is a creative movement class for children aged 18 months to 4 and their parent or carer.

Led by the brilliant Stevie Quinn.

Starting in September, term time only.

£5.50 per session, per family group (up to three people).

SideKick Dance Classes for 11-25 years

Wednesdays 2.30pm - 3.30pm

SideKick Dance was created for both adults aged 19+ with physical and/or learning disabilities, and for young people aged 11-25 with disabilities to participate in dance training in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The dancers take part in technique and creative sessions where choreography is developed for performances. This also gives young people a chance to be physically and creatively challenged, socialise and make new friends.

Term 1 | 1st September – 13th October
Term 2 | 27th October – 15th December

YOUNG WRITERS GROUP

Online - Tuesdays, 6pm - 7pm

Do you dream of becoming a playwright, an author, a journalist, a screenwriter or a slam poet?

Or, do you keep a secret diary or a blog and fancy making some new friends?

Take the next step of your writing journey at one of Curve’s Young Writers Groups, run by Writing East Midlands. Sessions are fun, friendly, and FREE! and offer a fantastic introduction to the world of creative writing.

Adults

Get a real taste of theatre through our practical workshops and classes for adults. These include a range of drama, creative writing and dance workshops plus much more.

Leicester Women's Gospel Choir

Mondays, 6.30pm - 8pm

This inspirational, women-only choral singing workshop will include learning both traditional and contemporary songs, with performances at Curve and around the city.

Monday Moving Together Over 55s Class

Monday, 2.30pm-4pm

Our fun and friendly classes for those over the age of 55 are suitable for all abilities! Our classes have a social focus, building a community and empowering participants to stay active through the adaptable and accessible nature of the class content. Come and get energised with Moving Together through a variety of stylised routines and dance fitness sequences.

Over 55s Dance Classes

Tuesdays, 2pm-3pm

Moving Together run these fun and friendly classes for people of all abilities over the age of 55.

Classes have a social focus, empowering participants to stay active through a variety of stylised routines and dance fitness sequences.

Please note: Each class will be released for sale at 9am on the Wednesday morning for the following Tuesday class

Our Backstage Tours are perfect for groups with a passion for theatre and schools looking to find out more about how shows are created on our stages.
