Workshops and Classes
There’s more to Curve than just great shows. We also offer a range of workshops, activities and backstage tours available for all ages and abilities. From weekly classes to special one off opportunities, there’s something for everyone.

Young People and Families

Curve Junior Choir
Curve Junior Choir is our singing workshop for juniors and early teens, taking place on Monday evenings.
Learn vocal techniques, how to sing harmonies, songwriting, performance skills and, in doing so, having a lot of fun!
£4 per session
Led by Kainé Management
Recommended for ages 10+

Little Movers
Little Movers is a creative movement class for children aged 18 months to 4 and their parent or carer.
The class makes space for your little one to explore moving and dancing with exciting multi-sensory props and great music.
Term time only.
£5.50 per session, per family group (up to three people).

Side Kick Dance Classes for 11-18 years
Sidekick Dance offers people aged 11-18 with disabilities the chance to experience dance training in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The dancers take part in technique and creative sessions where choreography is developed for performances. This also gives young people a chance to be physically and creatively challenged, socialise and make new friends.
£10 per half-term. Please arrive 15 minutes before the class start time.

YOUNG WRITERS GROUP
Do you dream of becoming a playwright, an author, a journalist, a screenwriter or a slam poet?
Or, do you keep a secret diary or a blog and fancy making some new friends?
Take the next step of your writing journey at one of Curve’s Young Writers Groups, run by Writing East Midlands. Sessions are fun, friendly, and FREE! and offer a fantastic introduction to the world of creative writing.

Get a real taste of theatre through our practical workshops and classes for adults. These include a range of drama, creative writing and dance workshops plus much more.

This inspirational, women-only choral singing workshop will include learning both traditional and contemporary songs, with performances at Curve and around the city.

Over 55s Dance Classes
Learn a variety of dance styles in these fun classes that provide a great opportunity to keep fit and meet new people.

SideKick Dance for Adults
SideKick Dance is an inclusive dance group created for adults aged 18+ with physical and/or learning disabilities.
The sessions include a variety of dance techniques and creative activities to explore movement and produce choreography.
£5 per session
