Curve today announces casting for their Christmas production of the hit musical Grease.
Following the receipt of the UK Theatre Promotion of Diversity Award, Curve is to host a national conference exploring diversity in UK theatre and the current landscape for BAME artists, companies and audiences.
Curve is delighted to announce that Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schönberg’s legendary musical Miss Saigon - a recent smash hit in the West End - will embark on a major UK tour opening at Curve from Monday 3 July 2017.
Curve and Rose Theatre Kingston are pleased to announce full casting for their upcoming production of Roald Dahl’s The Twits. Mr. and Mrs. Twit will be played by Robert Pickavance and Jo Mousley. Robert has previously played other iconic Dahl characters on stage including The BFG and Grasshopper in James and The Giant Peach.
Today, Curve announced that Ian Squires has been appointed Chair of the Board of Curve. Squires is an experienced theatre trustee and board member. He chaired the board of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre for eight years helping to oversee the theatre’s redevelopment and reopening in 2013.
Curve has been awarded Arts Council England funding to adapt Amana Fontanella-Khan’s critically acclaimed narrative account Pink Sari Revolution for the stage. The £100,000 award is part of Art Council England’s ‘Reimagine India’ programme that aims to develop new work and collaborations between arts and cultural organisations in England and India.
Curve’s production of Legally Blonde The Musical has taken two top awards at the prestigious Daegu International Musical Festival Awards in South Korea. The Made At Curve production won the highest award for Best Musical and Best Actress in a Musical for Lucie Jones as Elle Woods.
