Leicester’s Curve theatre has been announced as a regional host for the Stage One Producer Placement in 2018.

Along with Dundee Rep, Exeter Northcott and Northern Stage, Curve will provide a new entrepreneurial producer with a unique year of training and hands-on experience working on its diverse programme of musicals, plays, new work and dance.

Curve’s Chief Executive Chris Stafford and Artistic Director Nikolai Foster said:

“We’re thrilled to be offering a Trainee Producer placement here at Curve with Stage One. In 2017 alone Curve created over 10 productions, across a wide range of genres, including the WhatsOnStage Awards nominated UK tour of Sunset Boulevard, the world premiere of Ravi Shankar’s Sukanya, a brand new play Pink Sari Revolution and rediscovered Bricusse’s Scrooge for families. We believe whoever joins us will experience an eclectic range of work, from our large-scale musical productions to children’s theatre and new plays. Working alongside Curve’s team and our co-producing partners, this role will enable a young producer of exceptional talent to develop their skills in a challenging and fast moving theatre.”

Applications for 2018/19 placements opened on Friday 5th January and close on Friday 2nd February.
