Child auditions for Finding Neverland

THREE BOYS WANTED TO JOIN THE CAST OF FINDING NEVERLAND AT CURVE THEATRE

Harvey Weinstein and his production team are looking to cast local boys to perform in the brand new musical production,Finding Neverland. The show has its World Premiere at Curve theatre, Leicester from 22 September – 13 October.

The boys must be below 5 feet tall, aged between 10 and 12 years old and live within a few miles of Curve. No singing or dancing is required for the small role, which will be shared between the three boys.

Auditions will be held at Curve in the first week of September and the boys will be required to be available until the production ends its run at Curve on 13 October.

Director Rob Ashford says:

“This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to be involved in a full scale production of a world premiere musical. We are excited to launch Finding Neverlandin Leicester and we know that the city is full of local talent, so we’re looking forward to meeting the boys at auditions.”

Submissions should be emailed to Jo Hawes at [email protected] as soon as possible and contain details of the boys’ names, heights, ages and distance of residence from Curve. No photos are required.

Finding Neverland is a musical tale of the life of playwright J. M. Barrie, and the inspiration behind his classic book, The Adventures of Peter Pan. Set the day after James Barrie’s new play The Wedding Guest has flopped, Finding Neverland follows what happens when he meets the beautiful widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her four boys, Jack, George, Michael and Peter. Inspired by their hilarious and fun-filled misadventures, he creates the magical and beloved world of Peter Pan.

Adapted from the Oscar-winning film Finding Neverland starring Johnny Depp, the show is produced by Academy and Tony Award-winner Harvey Weinstein, who has produced the much-loved feature film Shakespeare in Love and musicals The Producers and Billy Elliot the Musical. The cast will be led by West End stars Julian Ovendon (BBC Proms and Foyle’s War) and Rosalie Craig (Ragtime – Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park).

The show has its World Premiere at Curve theatre, Leicester from 22 September – 13 October, before transferring to the West End.

  • Performances start at 7.30 pm, Monday – Saturday, with a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm and Sunday matinee at 4pm
