‘Mary wants us to talk about the girl that killed our son. I want to wipe her off the face of the earth.’
A family struggles for meaning and forgiveness after a random fatal attack on their eighteen-year old son. Join his mother as she confronts their loss and searches for understanding, which brings her face to face with the killer. This adaptation of Shelagh Stephenson’s play is directed by Adel Al-Salloum. Cast includes Tracy Brabin, Calum Callaghan, David Leonard, Sarah Niles and Ellie Paskell.
The Long Road originally premiered at a sell-out run at Soho Theatre in 2008 and evolved out of a period of research with prisoners by Synergy Theatre Project, in collaboration with The Forgiveness Project and award-winning writer Shelagh Stephenson.
