The Artistic team oversees all the creative activities at Curve, from producing our critically acclaimed productions and commissioning new work to programming shows for our theatre spaces.
Off-stage, the team also delivers our educational work for schools and universities, runs Curve Young Company and supports and develops emerging artists.

The Communications Team strategically and tactically manages all internal and external communications for Curve.
We are the central contact for all marketing and publicity and our core aim is to raise the local, national and international profile of Curve and encourage as many people as possible to visit our building and see a show.

PRESS AND DIGITAL MANAGER
Located inside Curve and at our Ticket Sales Outlet in Highcross, our Ticket Office teams are responsible for taking bookings for all Curve shows, activities and workshops as well as answering any questions our customers may have.
We schedule Curve’s access performances, building tours and provide a dedicated booking service for groups and schools. We also manage Curve’s operation as a ticketing agent and online merchandise sales.

Curve is a registered charity (number 230708). The Development department is made up of our fundraising, membership and events teams who endeavour to increase the awareness of our charitable status and our work in the community.
We are also responsible for generating additional income that helps to support the charitable objectives and artistic aspirations of our organisation.
We work closely with local businesses, providing them with a range of opportunities to be associates of Curve from sponsorship, Business Club membership, through to networking opportunities at our B2B events.

Curve’s dedicated Events Team manages all aspects of our venue hire operation.
Our two theatres and stage can be opened out into one unique space. Used as three individual areas or in combination to meet your specific requirements, these spaces are ideal for large-scale conferences, product launches, exhibitions and ceremonies with a maximum combined capacity of 1,150.
We have five meeting rooms that are perfect for smaller events such as workshops, seminars, small conferences, breakout spaces, product launches, team-building events and meetings. Our meeting rooms have flexible capacities ranging from 60-200.

PROJECTS AND EVENTS OFFICER
Our Facilities team is responsible for the upkeep of our award-winning building. The team also play an important role to ensure that the building is running efficiently by monitoring energy usage and ensuring all equipment is run and maintained to maximum capacity.
In 2013, we were awarded an Industry Green certificate in recognition of our strong commitment to managing Curve’s carbon footprint and improving our environmental impact.

TECHNICAL AND CAPITAL PROJECTS DIRECTOR
The Finance team look after funding, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow operations of Curve, keeping control of our finances so that Curve can continue to produce great quality productions and creative activities for all to enjoy.
As a team we also provide support to all areas within the theatre and to our external stakeholders.

PAYROLL & FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR
The Hospitality team provides food and beverage services for all aspects of our organisation. This ranges from our Café, Bar and Show Dining to catering for corporate clients using Curve for their event or conference. We have a 40 strong hospitality team, including our own Head Chef, and all of our produce is sourced in house through our nominated supply chain.
We pledge to support local farmers where we can by using locally sourced food grown in our area, all British sourced milk and eggs, and in turn helping to reduce carbon omissions through transportation and supporting a cleaner environment.
As well as supporting British food, we strongly support the Fairtrade foundation, and ensure all of our fish comes from sustainable, well-managed marine sources.

The Human Resources team is responsible for managing employees’ time with Curve for the whole of their employment life cycle.
As well as the day to day administrative HR tasks including recruitment, coordinating work experience and apprentice placements, we also work on larger projects in order to continually improve employees’ experience of Curve and to attract the best people into our organisation.

The Operations department consists of Duty Managers, Reception and Ushering staff who are responsible for managing the public areas of our building. The team continuously strives to deliver excellent customer service whilst maintaining the safety and security of audiences, customers, visitors and staff.

Curve’s technical team attracts some of the most highly skilled technicians in the industry. The team looks after lighting, sound, video, stage and wardrobe and provide technical support to visiting companies as well as working on our own Curve productions and supporting off-stage activities around the building.
A typical week can see us working on all aspects of a Curve musical in the Theatre – from making costumes to running stage management – as well as supporting a visiting production in the Studio, setting up for a conference for hundreds of delegates around the building, working on a children’s show in a Rehearsal Room and managing performances on the Foyer Stage.
